Description

A keepsake box; great for trinkets, treasures, jewelry and Shopkins! Guest choose from an assortment of box styles; cupcakes, ice cream cones, game controllers, treasure boxes, starts and more! Recommended for ages 5 – tween.

Package is for up to 9; $22 per extra

All of our party packages include:

  • 1 1/2 hours in our private party room
  • Packages include up to 9; typically 8 guests + birthday child. The price of extra guests depends on the theme chosen, ranging from $18 – $26 + tax.
  • There is a MAXIMUM of 12 kiddos, this includes the birthday girl/boy, for each theme. Please do not over-invite, as we strictly adhere to a limit of 12 kids for each party. Our party room is 17′ x 12′. We can comfortably seat, serve & assist a maximum of 12 kids. We can accommodate the birthday child’s parents but unfortunately, we do not have a lot of room for extended family and parents of guest as we are a working studio with limited space. 🙁
  • Bisque & paint for each guest in attendance at the party, selection depends on theme chosen.
  • Spin-To-Win Prize wheel for birthday child
  • Paint brushes & decorating tools such as pencils, sponges & stamps (age appropriate)
  • Hand-Glazing and firing of each piece
  • Dedicated party host; set up and clean-up
  • Colored paper goods, forks, spoons and lemonade
  • Each masterpiece is individually wrapped with a gift tag & $5 coupon for a future visit
  • A $50 non-refundable deposit is required and will be applied towards your balance, which is due at the end of the party
  • Present opening is NOT an included activity with our parties. However, we will make every effort to include at the end of the party if time allows.

Walls of Clay has been in downtown McKinney for 16+ years. Our practices, policies and procedures are fair. Our number one goal is to provide an awesome experience for our guest(s) and our policies allow us to do just that.

Your $50 non-refundable deposit will be applied towards the cost of the party.  If you need to postpone your party for any reason; such as schedule conflict, emergency, illness or weather-related, please notify us by phone at 972.547.4472.  You may call anytime and be sure to leave a message if it is before/after studio hours.  If we receive advanced notice, your deposit will be held on account and applied towards another party date.

We will gladly work with you to find an alternate party date for your consideration.  Alternate dates are based on availability and what will work with your schedule.  If you choose to cancel your party for any reason, your deposit is forfeited.  Deposits cannot be applied to other services, events or merchandise but can be transferred to another party ONE time without penalty.   No shows will not receive a refund or credit.

We can accommodate the birthday child’s parents but unfortunately, we do not have room for extended family and parents of guest as we are a working studio with limited space.  The front of our studio is for walk-in customers, so we respectfully ask that your guests do not use these tables to sit at while waiting for the party to end.  And the hallway between the studio and party room is where is used frequently by staff and front end painters, so we again ask respectfully that we keep this hallway free and clear.  Downtown McKinney is a great place to walk around, we encourage adults to take advantage of the local shops, art galleries and eateries – your kiddos will be in good hands with our staff.

The remaining balance is due at the end of your party. We accept cash along with all major credit cards.  Checks are NOT accepted for final payment.

A final headcount is required three (3) business days prior to the party. An email will be sent the Wednesday/Thursday prior to your party date requesting the final head count. There is a maximum of 12 kids, this includes the birthday child(children).  Please check your email and respond.

Our parties are 1 1/2 hours.  For younger ones, we strongly recommend reserving an hour for the party. The younger ones paint faster and we don’t want you to feel stress about how to entertain the younger ones when everyone is done with painting, cake and presents.  Please note, that if you opt for the full 90 minutes, our staff will do our best to keep the kiddos entertained, but we are limited as to the activities we can do in our party room.

Our packages are priced for up to 9 kids, which typically means 8 party guests plus the birthday child. If you have twins, triplets or friends that want to share a birthday party, subtract the number of birthday children from 9 to figure out how many guests are included in the package price. Extra guests are always welcome, the price per extra guest depends on the package. For example, if you have twin girls, the package price will include the twin birthday girls + 7 guests for a total number of 9 guests. Likewise, if you have triplets, the package price will include triplet birthday kids + 6 guests for a total number of 9.

If you have less than 9 painters you will still be responsible for the minimum package price. The upside is that we will be staffed the same way as if you had 9, so painters will receive extra attention from our staff.  If there is an older sibling, parent or relative that wants to paint the extra piece(s) during the course of the party, they are welcome to.

Painting party pieces needs to be completed during the allotted party time. This is customary for most party venues. For example, if you have a bounce house party and not all guests are there, free passes are generally not handed out for a future visit for the guests who were unable to make it.  Likewise, if a minimum is required at a catering hall for a wedding and someone was not able to attend, they are not given a meal for next time around.  We do try to be fair and hope that you understand that we are a small business that continually strives to use fair practices so that it is a win-win situation for us all.

Do to the nature of kiln-fired arts, slight imperfections can occur. And on rare occasions, kiln fired pieces can crack or shatter during the firing process.  While we take every precaution to ensure that this does not happen, there are some factors that are beyond our control.  If a piece cracks or shatters, a credit will be issued.

Gift opening occurs at the end of the party, time permitting. We strictly adhere to the allotted 1 and 1/2 hours for each party.  If there is not enough time, unopened gifts will be sent home.

Generally party pieces are ready in 7 days. During holiday times, this time may be extended.  We will call you as soon as the party pieces are ready for pick up.  Each piece will be individually wrapped and labeled with a gift tag with the painters’ name so they are easy to distribute. The birthday family picks up all of the pieces and then distributes them accordingly. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE.
