You can reserve birthday parties only through our website. Online booking lets you review and agree to the current terms and conditions, secures the party room in real time, and prevents double booking. Available dates, times, themes, prices, and per-painter rates are shown online.

Walls of Clay is open every day except Tuesdays. You’re welcome to stop by during regular studio hours to take a peek.

We suggest reserving at least two weeks in advance so we can plan staffing and supplies. We can often accommodate a party with one week of notice when space, pottery, and staffing are available.

No. A $50 deposit is required to reserve a party date and time.

The remaining balance is paid at checkout on the day of the party. Any additional painters and applicable tax are added then. Gratuity is optional and may also be handled at checkout.

Yes. We typically email the Wednesday before the party from info@wallsofclaymckinney.com. Please check your spam, junk, or bulk folder if you do not see it. Reply with your expected number of painters at least three days before the party.

Yes. The birthday family supplies the cake, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, or other sweet treat. Most parties keep food simple and serve only a sweet treat after painting.

Yes. You may bring your own paper goods or use ours. The package price does not change if you bring your own.

The package price includes 9 painters total. Every person who paints counts, including every birthday child. You may add up to 3 painters at the current per-painter rate for a firm maximum of 12 painters.

The number included in the package stays at 9, even when more than one child is celebrating.

• One birthday child plus 8 guests equals 9 painters.
• Twins or two best friends plus 7 guests equals 9 painters.
• Triplets plus 6 guests equals 9 painters.
• Up to 3 more painters may be added, for no more than 12 painters total.

The full package price still applies because the room, host, supplies, and party time have been reserved for your group.

Think of it like reserving a bounce house: the reservation price does not change if fewer children use it. An adult, sibling, or other attendee may use an unused included spot and paint during the party.

Unused spots cannot be saved as a future visit, converted to studio credit, or taken home as unpainted pottery.

Unfortunately, no, so please do not over-invite as we do not want anyone to be disappointed.  Based on feedback from our past guests and staff, a maximum of 12 painters is all that we can seat, serve and assist at a time.  Our private room simply is not big enough to accommodate larger groups, especially when extended family and parents of guests stay during the party.

We would love to host larger groups, but cannot do so in our working studio.  If you must invite the whole class, team, etc then we are probably not the right venue for you at this time, sad to say but true.

No. A younger or older guest who attends but does not paint is not counted as a painter.

The birthday child must be at least 5 years old. A younger guest may sometimes attend at the parent’s discretion. Please consider whether the child can comfortably participate in a structured 90-minute party. We will do our best to accommodate them.

Parties are 90 minutes. Painting comes first and is the main event. Most groups paint for about the first hour, enjoy food and the birthday treat next, and use the final minutes for celebration and wrap-up.

Please ask guests to arrive on time. The birthday family should arrive 5 to 10 minutes early with any food, treats, drinks, or simple decorations.

Late guests are welcome to join the party at the point it has reached. The party cannot be extended and missed painting time cannot be made up afterward.

Present opening is not built into the schedule. If at least 15 minutes remain, the birthday family agrees, and the host determines there is enough time, presents may be opened. The party still ends at the scheduled time.

Guests choose from the pottery prepared for the selected theme. The birthday child chooses first. Selection varies with inventory, but we provide a fun assortment within the theme.
